You've Been Sentenced, Twisted Fish, and Wheel of Chore-ture Review + Giveaway

Growing up my family was into playing games on a regular basis! We always had alot of fun playing games together as a family! We especially loved games during the holidays! Games are what bring our family together as I'm sure that is how it is for everyone! Now as I'm older, I love to play games with Paul and our families when we get together!

McNeill Designs have fun games that are new to me! I'm so glad to hear about the game You've Been Sentenced! It's a fun game that will keep you laughing and will really put your mind to work! It helps well with your English and vocabulary skills as well! Let me first tell you about McNeill Designs!

About McNeill Designs
(from their website)

"Founded in 2004, we at McNeill Designs have never considered ourselves an ordinary game development firm. In fact, we prefer to title ourselves a “Think Tank,” where creative ideas are allowed to run wild and innovation isn’t a request, but a requirement.

Now, they say that great minds think alike. However, at McNeill Designs we sometimes find just the opposite, due to the sheer number of revolutionary game, novelty, and product ideas generated by our 40+ team members.

In 2005 this creativity was put to the test when we brought our first product to market. As our flagship offering, the unique card game “You’ve Been Sentenced!™” now sets the tone for all future McNeill Designs’ endeavors. The result of thousands of man-hours in research, development, design and redesign, this game succeeds where others have failed, by making sentence forming an entertaining, challenging, fun, and easy-to-learn game. "

About You've Been Sentenced!
(from their website)

"The latest in the evolution of games, “You've been Sentenced!” is the first game in history to really turn making sentences into a very funny, playable, and challenging game. Using a unique word deck of pentagon shaped cards containing conjugations of funny words, famous names from throughout history, familiar places, and wild cards, players have to make grammatically correct and justifiable sentences. The real fun begins when players have to read their sentences out loud and explain what they mean to the rest of players. They form the jury and vote thumbs up or down on whether the sentence and justification stand and the points are scored. 540 cards with over 2,500 words insure billions of possible sentences so the game is never repetitive and has unlimited re-play value."

You've Been Sentenced has cards that are pentagon shaped with different word variations all around the cards! You pick 10 cards and you make up funny sentences with those cards! You try to make them make up a proper sentence! The things you can come up with are hilarious! This game is for ages 8 and up. It takes about 30-40 minutes to play. 3-10 players can play this game.

You've Been Sentenced! is a winner of 6 prestigious awards which include 2006 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal, Dr. Toy "Best Products Winner" 2007 , National Parenting Center Seal of Approval 2007 and more! That definitely says alot about this game!

McNeill Designs also offers Add-On Decks to this game which will add on more fun to the You've Been Sentenced game! You can choose from:

Sports Highlights

Sci-fi and Fantasy

Reader’s Digest National Word Power Challenge™ Deck

 Gourmet Cuisine

Pop Culture.

My favorite add on cards are the Sports and Cuisine!

Some of the words on the Sports Highlight cards include: surfboards, canoe, Joe Montana, Tiger Woods, driving, skier, huddle, playing, and etc.

Here is an example of all the words on one card!

Twisted Fish is a fun card game that is like the old Go Fish game, but it has a twist! This game has 13 unique Fish characters in five different colors, plus 8 unique “Zingers” that allow you to break the rules! The Zingers card is what gives the game a twist to it! This game is for ages 8 and up! It takes about 30-40 minutes to play! 3-6 players can play this game!

Twisted Fish is the winner of the Creative Child Magazine Game of the Year for 2007!

The Wheel of Chore-ture is such a clever and awesome product! I don't have kid's, but I can't wait to use this chore wheel one day! Some of the chores it includes are: Clean your room, Do the wash, Dust, Feed the pets, Set the table, and Clean the bathroom! The great thing is it has a magnet on the back so it will hang perfectly on your fridge!

 MY REVIEW

I must tell you that I was super impressed when I opened my box from McNeill Designs! I was just expecting the You've Been Sentenced game, but to my surprise I also received the Twisted Fish, Add on cards, and the Wheel of Chore-ture! This box made my day!
I really enjoyed You've Been Sentenced because it really made my mind think. I believe it's a good thing to have your mind think this way on a daily basis so this game is awesome. I have problems with my memory from my car accident so it felt good to work my memory with this game! It took me awhile to come up with sentences, but I was proud of myself to come up with sentences! I can't wait to take this game to our next family get together so we can laugh and have fun with this game! I definitely recommend it to you! If you want to have alot of fun and laugh with your family then this is a great game for you!

I really love the add on cards! They brought more fun and words into the game! I think it's nice that people can buy the add on cards for more variety to the game!

I also loved the Twisted Fish game. I think it's fun to have a twist to games! This game will keep you entertained until the end of the game for sure! I look forward to playing this game with more people at our next family gathering!
