I recently became a new fan of Educational Insights! I'm so glad that I have recently learned about Educational Insights because this is the greatest store to go to for every child's learning needs. Educational Insights is a company that helps make learning fun for children of all ages! Educational Insights carries products for subjects like: math, science, social studies, special needs, reading and language art, and much more!

ABOUT BLURT!:
(from the Educational Insights site)

"Think fast! What word means "a partially dried grape"? Be the first to say "raisin," and you're on your way to winning this riotous game of rapid word recall. Players take turns reading clues aloud, competing to blurt out the correct answer first and move ahead on the board. The first person or team to circle the board wins. Sounds simple, right? But as the race for the right word heats up, and the blurting gets boisterous, it's easy to get tongue-tied! Blurt is a great vocabulary builder for kids, a hilarious addition to adult parties, and a must for family game night. Includes junior version for ages 7+. For 3 to 12 players."

We had the great opportunity to review Blurt! Word Race Game from Educational Insights! This game is an awesome interaction game that helps children with words, vocabulary, definition of words, and it also can help children with spelling.

Included in the game is: a game board, 1 dice, 300 game cards, instructions,  6 moving pieces and a box to help keep the game very organized.  All together there is 1,800 different clues with 2 playing levels- easy or difficult.

The object of the game is to read off a card to your opponents and have them blurt out words that the definition could mean! Also, be the first player or team to move your game piece around the path and back to the start space. Players or teams earn the right to move their game piece by being the first to blurt out a word after hearing its definition or "clue".

Examples of the easy side of the cards:

- A thin film of liquid shaped like a ball and filled with air- (Answer-Bubble)
- A royal man who rules a country (Answer-King)
- The bags and suitcases taken on a trip (Answer-Luggage)

Each card has a front and back! One side of the card is easier and the opposite side is more difficult. The easier side of the card is marked with a star.

Here are examples of the more difficult side of the card!

- To be slow in leaving (Answer-Linger)
- Someone who is visiting a place for pleasure (Answer-Tourist)
- A short comedy sketch (Answer- Skit)

Blurt! also comes with a Junior Version for players ages 7 to 9 included in the same game. This version is a great way to help your children learn how to spell. This version lets you move your game piece further if you spell the word right. This version is great to play at parties or sleep overs. Instructions on how to play the junior version is included on the back of the instruction page.

We had a fun time playing this game with our niece's and nephew's! This game was a hit and they kept wanting to play it for longer. We definitely recommend this word game to you! This game will definitely help out your child with vocabulary, spelling, and word definitions!
