     I am very grateful to be able to be a part of helping get the word out about the Bake for the Cure! I will be posting 2 great recipes for the next few Monday's in October!

     Here is a little about Bake for the Cure:

Bake for the Cure is supporting breast cancer with a love for cooking. ACH Foods has partnered with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer with the intention of building awareness, support, and interest in the cause by providing visitors with a baking forum dedicated to all things pink.

Halloween Sugar Cookies

1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 egg
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Argo Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions: Cream sugar and butter in a large bowl with eletric mixer; add egg. Beat in flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Form into two balls. Cover and chill 20 to 30 minutes.

Roll one portion of the dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Repeat with remaining dough.

Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 7 to 8 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 to 2 minutes on baking sheet and then transfer to cooling rack. Ice and decorate as desired.




Icing

2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons Karo Light Corn Syrup
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
food coloring


Directions: Combine all the ingredients together for a desired spreading consistency. Tint with food color, if desired.




     These cookies were very delicious! They are hard to have just one cookie because they are so good! This is the first time I've ever made sugar cookies by myself and they were easy for me! I recommend this recipe to you! I encourage you to try this recipe out! I'd also love it if you shared your stories of hope and survival here on this post!

I love Aroma Home because you will not see products like some of the products they have! Some of the products that Aroma Home sells are Hots Hugs, Slippers, Eye Masks, Body Wraps, Screen Wipes, and etc.





        I think Aroma Home products would also be great as a gift idea for someone who is sick! I know if I was sick, I would love to have a Body Wrap on me along with wearing the Fuzzy Friends Slippers while snuggling with a Hot Hug!

         These are products that would be great to have on hand for those days where you just feel like you need a pick me up! I know these products would help me with my aches I have everyday. I am going to have to save some money up so I can purchase more products from Aroma Home.






     I was able to choose the Fuzzy Friends Lady Bug Slippers to review! I'm sure you are thinking these slippers are cute in the picture! They are just as cute in person or even more so! These are slippers that can bring a smile to your face just by looking at them because they are so cute! These slippers are unique to me because I've never seen such cute slippers before.

     I loved the slippers that I reviewed! They were very comfortable to me! I do wish they were bigger on me though. I love slippers that have extra room. I have giant feet where I wear anywhere from a size 9 1/2 to a size 10. I would have loved the slippers even more if they had more room for my giant feet. The slippers did fit me perfectly. I think someone who has smaller feet than me would love the extra space these slippers would have to offer! The quality of the slippers are great!

     Aroma Home shipped the review product to me fast and promptly! I was very impressed with their shipping!

     Today is my birthday! I am officially 28 today! I get to party today with wonderful family!I'm really looking forward to it! I'm blessed to have a birthday today on such a beautiful day. It is going to be 90 degrees today. The last really hot day of the year so I'm going to go live it up outside and enjoy it!

       I thought I would put up a birthday photo for Friday Photo Flashback since it's my birthday today. I didn't have many birthday photos already on my computer so here's just one that was a couple of years ago. Paul and I usually get to celebrate our birthdays with my family together since our birthday is less than a month away from each other! This picture is us with our birthday cupcakes and our cute niece sitting by me excited about the candles burning!
