ABOUT THIS IS WHY YOU'RE FAT
Being fat isn't your fault; staying fat is." That's what Jackie Warner, America's favorite no-nonsense celebrity fitness trainer tells her own clients, and that's why no one delivers better results than Jackie does. Now for the first time, Jackie shares her revolutionary program, showing readers the best ways to drop pounds and inches fast, without grueling workouts or deprivation, and keep them off for good! Her two-tiered approach provides a complete nutritional makeover and a failure-proof condensed workout routine PLUS all the emotional support and encouragement you need to get to the finish line and beyond. With Jackie's core principles, you'll discover once and for all which behaviors are making you fat, and which can finally make you thin forever-and some may surprise you:
- ADD TO LOSE: In Jackie's 2-week jump start, no food is off-limits. You'll actually add food to your diet in order to lose weight.
-CHEATING IS ALLOWED: Eat clean for 5 days, and then indulge in whatever you want over the weekend!
-FAT IS NOT THE ENEMY: Fat doesn't make you fat; sugar does! Nothing you eat should contain over 9 grams of sugar.
-SKIP THE CRUNCHES: They just build muscle under the fat. Discover the fastest way to burn calories, tone muscle, and spark your metabolism for rapid fat loss.
-LESS (EXERCISE) IS MORE: Workouts shouldn't take over your day-give Jackie 20-minutes and you'll see results.
MY THOUGHTS
I can tell you that I was very impressed when I received this book in the mail. It's a very nice hardcover book! I could not put this book down once I started reading it! It had such interesting stuff to learn. It was very thorough and informative!
The very first part of the book I learned that you need your hormones balanced or you will gain weight. I had no clue on that. It gives helpful suggestions on what to do and what to eat to help balance your hormones. This book also included many other tips on how to change what you are doing in your life to lose weight!
The book also includes many exercises with pictures to show you how to do the exercises correctly. Under the pictures it explains how to do the exercises. The book included exercises for warming and cooling down after the main exercises. The book also has exercises that help work out your hamstrings, quadriceps, glutes, chest, back, biceps, triceps, shoulders, and abs.
This book also includes simple tips to help you be healthier like: using olive oil instead of canola or vegetable oil, Add flavor with fresh herbs, and if you crave an evening snack have a cup of berries and many other helpful tips.
This book also gives you a meal plan on what to eat. It gives you ideas on how much to eat and what to eat. This book also lists foods to eat for breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, mid afternoon snack, dinner, and post dinner for 31 days. I think it is so helpful to see that so you have an idea of what you should eat.
The very end of the book lists many healthy recipes to try. Some of the recipes include: Thai Beef Stir-Fry, Soft Taco, Italian Stuffed Chicken, Spicy Herb Chicken, Steamed Asparagus, Broccoli and Mushroom Saute, Deviled Eggs, Pigs in a Blanket, Sesame Chicken Strips and many other great recipes!
Overall this was an amazing book! I am going to read this book over and over again so I can be reminded of these wonderful tips for me to be on a better road to better health!
I recommend this book to you!

My tip is:
ReplyDeleteWhenever you feel as if you are famished from going a little too long without food, (we're all too busy these days) drink a glass of water before you decide what to eat. It cuts the immediate hunger pangs and prevents you from over cooking/ordering food you really don't want.
I almost ordered a triple cheeseburger the other night until my husband reminded me that there is no way i could eat that much. My eyes were bigger than my stomach ;)
I travel with veggies in ziplocs.
ReplyDeleteAside from drinking more water, we're making more stir fry to get more vegetables in our diet.
ReplyDeleteI drink lots of water and start each day with a lean, balanced breakfast!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I eat fresh fruits and vegetables as often as possible.
ReplyDeleteSnack on an apple and peanut butter when you're hungry.

Quitting smoking is my stay healthy tip. I quit 5 months ago after being a smoker for 12 years.
