How many of you have a hard time trying to figure out what to get the senior adults in your life for Christmas each year? It's so hard to figure out what to get for the person who has everything!
I have a great gift solution for this holiday season for the senior adult in your life! The solution is ColorPad! ColorPad is a fun coloring book and activity set all in one! These coloring books are from the older era so senior citizens can relate and reminisce while doing these activities. ColorPad also offers color pencils, markers, and ergonomic gel pens to make coloring more comfortable for people who have arthritis or joint pain. ColorPad also offers coordinating book bags and marker bags to help keep the coloring materials all together in one place.
I have always had a hard time figuring out what to get my grandparents for Christmas each year! I now only have one grandfather alive and he is slowing getting weaker and slower! I think he would love the ColorPad because it would be easy for him to sit and color along with doing the activities. This activity would be easy so he wouldn't have to think hard about doing this. He could sit and reminisce about the olden days in the era he grew up in.
ABOUT COLOR PAD
(from the website)
"The ColorPad® coloring system provides coloring books and coloring tools designed specifically to bring pleasure to senior adults. Each ColorPad® book is full of pictures that bring an era back to life. The pictures can be colored in, and facing pages offer questions about the memories that the pictures bring to mind. So, not only can the senior adult enjoy a little artistic fun, he or she can write down special memories -- whether recalling a first date or remembering a favorite song. ColorPad® coloring books bring back memories and make people smile!"
ColorPad also offers Tote bags, Gel Markers, Marker Bag, and Gel Stixs along with the coloring books.
Since introduction of this unique product line, ColorPad books have been used as:
- a tool for art and speech therapy
- conversation stimulators
- bingo and other event prizes
- memory stimulators for Alzheimer patients
- memory books for seniors to complete and give as gifts to their children/grandchildren
- gifts to recipients of Meals on Wheels
- fun for people of all ages
ABOUT LIFE IN THE 50'S: This coloring book includes: drive-in restaurants, cool cars, poodle-skirted women, and much more.
ABOUT LIFE IN THE 60's: Features memories such as the first space walk, the Kennedy era, and the Beatles.
ABOUT LIFE IN THE 70's: Brings memories of the first microwave, the Freedom Train, Viet Nam, and many other events.
MY THOUGHTS
I think the ColorPad coloring books are a great idea! I know that many senior citizens would love a fun activity to do. These books would be great at retirement homes or assisted living places.
I think senior adults would love to also share these coloring books with their great-grandchildren. Grandparents could allow the grandchildren to color while grandparents explain the olden days to them. These coloring books can bring great interaction between grandparents and great-grandchildren.
The coloring books come where one page is a coloring page and on the other side of the page, it has a question with a big space to answer the question. The coloring books have fun pictures to go along with the questions! The coloring books average 23-25 pages. Each page has a picture to color or a question where there's a big area for senior citizen to write their answers!
The pictures in the coloring book are very simple! This makes it easy for senior adults to color the pages!
The coloring books ask simple questions on the activity side! Some of the questions include:
What clothes did you wear in the 70's?
Did you or your family participate in sports?
What were your favorite dances?
Did you go to fast food restaurants? What did you think about them!
This is a fun activity book that the senior adult in your life is sure to love! Remember the ColorPad this year on your holiday shopping list for the senior adult in your life!

I got a snuggly blanket for my Grandma. I think it's a good gift because she tends to get cold and she loves to cuddle up with it.
